The horoscope matching is done in most of the cases before marriages. As per the Koota matching system, the birth stars in which the Moon gets placed during the birth time of an individual is called the Janma Nakshatra of that individual. During horoscope matching, the bride and bridegroom’s horoscopes are analyzed and are matched so check if they are compatible. One of the ways of checking out the compatibility is to check the ganas of nakshatra. The nakshatras are categorized under three groups- Deva gana, Manushya gana and Rakshasa gana. When the bride and bridegroom are born in the same gana, the matching is considered as the best.

The matching between the Deva & Manushya and Manushya & Rakshasa gana are the next best and worst match is between the Deva and Rakshasa ganas. Individuals belonging to the rakshasa Gana have stubborn and arrogant character. They are not able to take good decision as they act as per their own wish. They generally have a hefty body and may be aggressive in nature. They have the tendency to fight over small issues. They are harsh in their words and do not realize how their actions and words can affect others.
