Double Bliss: When Second Sawan Monday Vrat & Kamika Ekadashi Coincide

Chant Harihar and attain double bliss this Sawan season! The second sawan vrat this year is coinciding with the Kamika Ekadashi event. It will be the divine time when two shaktis, which are Lord Shiva and Vishnu Ji, will combine and be on the peak.

This type of double festivity comes very rarely and holds great spiritual meaning and importance.

About The Sacred Day

The power of Sawan Somwar will be intensified when the glory of Kamika Ekadashi falls on the same day. Both events elevate each other’s energies in different ways. These two events create a rare cosmic energy, formulating a day when Hinduism’s greatest divine energies unite.

Shiva & Vishnu: HariHara

In Hindu mythology, it is said that Lord Shiva is the destroyer and Lord Vishnu is the preserver, representing complementary forces of the universe, which, when combined, make the universe balanced. The day also holds significant astrological and karmic power. Sawan Somwar, the monday, is related to the moon, which means emotions; fasting on this day calms the body, mind, and soul.

Whereas Kamika Ekadashi is all about getting your past sins purified and also getting liberated from worldly desires to attain Moksha. Together, the event creates a karmic reset, clearing the past lives' debts while attaining eternal grace.

How One Must Observe This Sacred Day?
  1. Wake up at 4 am and take a holy bath by adding turmeric or Ganga jal into your bathing water, as it purifies your body.

  2. Opt to wear white or yellow, as white symbolizes Lord Shiva (purity), and yellow is for Lord Vishnu (auspiciousness).

  3. For Puja, when doing Shiv Pujan, offer bilva leaves, raw milk, and honey on the Shiva Lingam. Chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times; light a diya with ghee and incense. For this, you can also place Mahamrityunjaya Yantra at your sacred place.

  4. To worship Lord Vishnu, offer tulsi leaves, fruits, and yellow flowers, and recite Vishnu Sahasranama or “Om Namo Narayana.” You can also read the Kamika Ekadashi Vrat Katha.

  5. There are three types of fasts, namely Nirjala (without water), Falahar (fruits, milk, water, and nuts), and Partial, in which rice, grains, salt, and non-veg are strictly avoided. Keep vrat as per your endurance.

  6. In the evening, visit the Shiv Ji and Vishnu Ji temples; deep daan is advised to be done on this day.

  7. Meditate on the unity of Shiva and Vishnu, the ultimate cosmic power.

Spiritual Benefits Of This Dual Fasting

1. Hari-Har Sidhi

By worshipping Shiva (Har) and Vishnu (Hari) together, you activate in yourself the Hari Har sidhi. By this power, you get prepared to vanish all your karmic blockages in your birth horoscopes and attain Shiv ji and Vishnu ji’s grace for a happy and prosperous life.

2. Ancestral Happiness

This vrat will be a whole different experience for you and will bless you with magical transformations. Such as Kamika Ekadashi can help you get your departed ancestors of 7 generations free from their sufferings.

The sawan somwar will break you free from the negative family patterns continuing from long ago and will imbue love and nurture feelings in your household and also for the departed ancestors too.

3. The Tandav-Lila Effect

Shiva’s cosmic dance, called Tandav, merges with Vishnu’s divine play called Lila. Shiva Nataraj destroys obstacles, whereas Vishnu’s Sudarshan Chakra helps create and attract new opportunities. So, your life gets a simultaneous upgrade and improvement.

4. Emotional Transformation

Two vrats, when combined, help you become emotionally wiser. You will yourself experience that any kind of toxicity in you will be turned into spiritual strength. Your hidden intuitions or the sixth sense will also be awakened.

You will be on the verge of making your emotions more controlled and balanced, attaining wisdom and enlightenment from the divine energies.

5. Multiplies Your Manifestation Power

The day will be the best one for you if you have a wish to manifest. The Sawan energy fuels you to become sharp, focused on your desire and the Ekadashi purity and aids you in removing your subconscious blocks to your path of attaining abundance.

So, this way, your intent, bhakti, and focus, when merged and aligned with the divine power, the things are on their way to happening.
